Student Activities


McCarthy Teszler is the home of Boy Scout Troop #175 and Girl Scout Troop #2668. Our scout leaders are Mr. Ethan Price and Ms. Janet Duley. We have monthly meetings. At each meeting scouts work to earn badges. Badges are awarded at our Scouts Awards Ceremony in the Srpint

Student Council

Joining the student council allows students to become a more active member of McCarthy Teszler school community. Getting involved with the student council or school government allows students to have a say in what activities and events are planned during the school year.
Members of the council also help organize student fundraisers and perform community service. Council members are elected yearly by their classmates and become respected leaders in their communities.
Students involve in McCarthy Teszler student council can make a difference. Through these activities and more, members of the council gain valuable experience in student government and become more responsible, active members of the school and local community.
Members of the student council are expected to:
  • Attend regular council meetings
  • Meet with their peers to receive feedback and hear student ideas and concerns
  • Volunteer at special events
  • Serve as role models to other students
